A small indie studio experimenting with game development tools and mechanics.
Hi! I'm Yureka. I like exploring different approaches to game development. sometimes by building games, other times by creating tools that might help fellow developers. Itβs all pretty experimental, but thatβs what makes it fun.
What I'm Up To
I spend most of my time tinkering with gameplay systems and trying to figure out better ways to build interactive experiences. The goal isn't to revolutionize anything, just to make things that work well and maybe solve a few problems along the way.
Right now I'm focused on creating modular tools that can be dropped into projects without too much hassle. Think of it as building LEGO blocks for game development.
Current Project
π― Grid Placement System
An Unreal Engine plugin for object placement and grid-based building.
This started as a solution for my own projects but turned into something that might be useful for others. It handles the fiddly bits of grid snapping, surface detection, and input management so you don't have to.
What it does:
- Grid-based object placement with flexible snapping
- Surface detection that actually works reliably
- Input handling across different platforms
- UI components you can customize or replace
- Modular setup so you only use what you need
Documentation:
- π Getting Started - Basic setup walkthrough
- βοΈ Core System - How the main components work
- 𧩠Library Components - Additional utilities
What's Coming
More tools are in development, though I can't promise timelines.
If you're interested in following along, the best way is to check back here occasionally or try out the current tools and let me know how they work (or don't work) for your projects.
Thanks for stopping by!
